The best logger previously avaliable Evoscan is having problems with the Innovate LC-1. I am literally running out to the car to try it.

Well, for the user that is deciding, could anyone say what each's strong/weak points are?

This is not a bashing post, but hoping for some constructive information as to the pros/cons of each, or perhaps they complement each other in some ways and do not in others...?

Why don't you just download it and give it a shot?

having problems? I haven't even programmed it to support LC1 yet, I haven't even tried. It will only take me 10minutes to add LC1 support I'm sure.

hmmm... then why is it taking months? Not knocking ya, but you haven't exactly been expiditious with the LC1 support.

Did you send any LC1 wideband logs from v0.95?

Yes. I sent a log file and an error file.

Am I correct in ass-u-ming that the demo version of the software does not connect to the car (I get an error when trying to do so). I wanted to check out LC1 support and to see how accurate/useful the load value was before I purchased.

The demo version will connect to a car. You have to select the port first.

Open EcuEdit -> open logger -> Connect -> choose port

Ok got everything connected and we took my friends car out for an hour of logging.

The engine load stops at 159 and change so their are still those limitations. The coolant temp is slightly off reading 205 when actual temps aree 190 or so. Knock Sum is labeled as "Knock Retard" and has no units designated to it. The ignition timing also seems very high, I'll look at the xml file tomorrow but it looks as it is the raw timing and not -20 from the raw. I did not get a chance to see if it talks to the LC1 as my LC1 is 100 miles away at home right now. I'll test that out when I get some time next week.

Other than the small issues that I can probably fix myself (I'll edit the xml file and try to post it back up) it seems GREAT. I hope wideband logging works however or the program is next to useless for me. Also I did not get a chance to log to a file, but I'll assume that works. I love the dashboard screen, its great for watching real time data. I also like how it holds min and max values. The one annoying part is how long it takes to connect to the ecu, but I suppose that is just the way its going to have to be.

You should do this the next time you connect. The graphing is REALLY nice. I can't seem to get it to log my LC1 wideband to a file. I'm not sure if it's a demo restriction or a bug.
