I get the same type of error message via ecuflash when I try to read my 05 USDM FXT. I know I can flash and read without using the clutch because I've done it with Street Tuner and the AccessPort.

Anyone had any success with this "kernel get version" error?-as ive got exactly the same problem with a 2001 bugeye.

I have the same problem all the time with my 03 wrx...

what i do: open up ecuexplorer. turn it on.. wait for ecuexplorer to identify car... close ecuexplorer, open ecuflahs and there you go it works... dunno why tho..

same here , i have JDM 2.0 LGT Spec B 6MT
in ecuexplorer it does not "name the ecu" at all
it is a blank after col. expansion "+" sign
i can datalog with ecuexplorer though
in ecuflash i get the error msg below as well...

hi

have tried the following steps to pull the ROM from my '06 JDM 2.0 LGT 6MT

moved the comm ports from the default installation pt (ie com7) to com 9
tried both jacking up the baud rates and reducing the baud rates;
tried both the 2005-06 option and 2004 options for the DBW subaru

i still get the same error msg below - what cld be wrong? (the one that reads FFFF6000 was when i tried the 2004 DBW
can anyone help?
