EVO5/6 MH7201F - MH7202F read/flash tool - it works.

Hi All.
I am near finishing the project :). I cut the bootloader from Mitsu H8/539F CPU http://forums.openecu.org/viewtopic.php?t=394&highlight= and made some modifications.
Support Processors: MH7201FS, MH7202F, MH8302F.
Supported options: Read/Erase/Flash ECU.
I can't try it on EVO ECU - it's so rare in Russia, but I think it will be work on EVO's.
Now i have one problem. I ask cboles about OpenPort 1.3M schematics month ago, but i can't see anything :( . I build my own hardware based on 1.2 schematics with slight modification and DC/DC convertor addition. My software based on this hardware. Because many forum members already have 1.3M cable I want to adapt my soft to this cable, but i can't do this without schematics.
I will share my work for all after solving this question.

Regards, Dmitry.

Silly question, but doesn't ecuFlash have support for EVOs already?

Hi Dmitry,

Fantastic work. I have 1.2 and 1.3M cables as well as access to various E5/6 ECU's, if you want me to test the software please let me know.

The modification you made to the 1.2, is it the initialization wire that connects to the second plug under the dash and runs to pin 73 (IIRC) on the E5/6 ECU's? I presume other models with the same processor use the same method of initialization?

What ECU/vehicles have you tested it on so far?

I successfuly tested it on various MMC ECU with the MH7202F processor. I read out and flash Galant, Lancer, Carisma, Pajero engine ECU's and AT ECU's without any problems. I think it will be workable on EVO's, because hardware is the same.
I wait for a week for cboles reply about schematics, after that I post soft and my hardware shematics for all.

P.S. Thanks for EVO6 ROM. It helped me in ECU digging :)

Good job ! Do you think this might work also for a MH7203F ? I have one ECU from this type and would like to try to extract rom ;)

MH720X all seem to be from the same H8 family so chances are yes.

Fine ;) YP, do you mind to share your code and the modifications done on the 1.2 openport ? My ECU is on my desk at this time, so DC/DC convertor should be useless right now, will use my lab power :D

Hi Dmitry,

Very good work! :D
I am looking to flash the Mitsubishi Outlander (Turbo), and I wonder if you can support its processor - MH8202F ? :?:

Thanks
Ran
