Reflashing the VDC module?

I have an ADM My09 Forester XT manual. I am interested in changing the operation of the VDC module to allow the VDC function to be disabled. There is no fun with it on, can't slide the tail under any circumstances.
I understand that the MY09 STI has the ability to turn off the VDC by holding down the traction control switch for a few seconds and I would love to have this functionality. I guess the first question must be is it possible to reflash the VDC module via the CAN bus? Secondly has anyone looked how to do it? Can OpenECU be modified to allow flashing of the VDC module?
Any input will be appreciated.
