Need Help with 08 Evo X Rom Gulf Specs

Hi all,

I plugged in my OP 2.0 cable and downloaded my ROM. It all went well. Ecuflash asked me to switch ignition off after finished downloading the file and I saved it.

I tried to open my downloaded ROM and Ecuflash says "unknown ROM image" can someone out there help me out ?

I also tried complete shutting down my car then when i restarted, i had a CEL and i manage to read the code from EVOSCAN and it says " ECUID" . . . also tried to clear it but no help.

Battery was also disconnected for approx. 5 mins no help but when i went and check on my car again and started it up, the CEL was gone.

After spending hours of reading, i think i need a definiton file for my ROM (attached). I really hope someone can help me out with many thanks in advance.

Hi guys, I am getting this unknown rom image error every time I try to work on an EVO X. It connects fine and reads fine but when I try to work on it, it asks me if I want to use a wizard to create a rom definition or abort using this rom image.

I attached the file I pulled from one of the vehicles.

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated,

Did you ever figure out how to tune your Gulf Spec Evo X? I would love to know how to tune it myself. I really dont want to pay 3000AED for a tune when I can do it myself and learn alot (have fun) at the same time.

im new to ecuflash

i have the XML file as well as the hex file but im not sure how it works every time i try and open the hex file it says unknown ROM how do i change the file ?

please help

just upload the hex to here and I'll generate you an xml for it,

if you already have teh correct xml then its should be placed in the (where ever installed normally Program Files)OpenEcu\Ecuflash\rommetadata\mitsubishi\evo directory
