Same issue here. on an 02 WRX. Used to flash fine, now it can't read the voltage. Will check the connector voltage and reset the ECU via power off and report back.

Is there a way to test the Tactrix (sp?) cable off the car by providing 12v to the correct pins and testing the voltage via software?

Turns out I've been a complete sped. Was attempting to use the ecuflash embedded into an old version of Ecu Explorer. Used an updated version of ecu flash and it worked just fine.
