after all this i read all the forums i can find and some people suggested using an older version. i tried 1.34/1.29/ and 1.31. and still the same problem... always saying kernel get version... i even went to redoing my whole comp/OS system and installed everything again. and still the same. i dont know what that means? please, please someone help me. email me at byrontg@gmail.com any suggestions would be great...

Did you hook up the green flash connector under the dash in addition to hooking up your flash connector? Are you turning the key to "on" at the same moment you click "ok" in Ecuflash?

yeah the green plugs are connected and is on "tune mode". check engine light flashing and fans/fuel pump cycle on and off. but no i haven't tried turning the ignition key on at the same time i hit ok. i'll give that a try when i get my car back from the shop. doing a new clutch. thanks..

Try unistalling all versions and ALL tactrix drivers and then reinstalling 1.34-previous and the required drivers.

Hope your clutch change went well. I flashed a friends 05 JDM STi, the green connectors needed to be connected, the white block too as this was Non DBW. I had to hit 'OK' before the fans started cycling for the flashing to work, so that is a point to note too. Happy flashing.

You'll also have this symptom if:
* The ECU is not HC16 based
* The ECU is a 04 USDM style (different hookup)
* your cable has a dead L-Line circuit
* The car is locked, by EcuTek for instance
