Problem changing immobilizer

I have recently switched my computer to Vista as well as the latest version of OpenECU and ever since if I take an image and cut and paste the immobilizer (as I always was able to do before) the car will not start. Take the original image, and reinstall it--- all is happy. It seems that I can swap out any other portion of the file---- fuel maps, timing maps, etc.... no problem, except the immobilizer. Any ideas?
