Do the current tools support this vehicle ?

The ECU is pin compatible with the STI ecu... I can plug the STI ecu in my car and it will work (with the sti turbo of course)

I have a spare FXT ecu for the time being if that helps anyone (will need it back tho)

Not currently. The 04+ DBW ECUs are not yet supported by the ecuFlash tools, but it appears that Colby is close to finishing it.

any idea of ballpark time frame for completion ?

I've got 2 ECUs, one is a backup, the other I have to send out to get reflashed... I was hoping to backup the ECU that will get reflashed to make sure that I have a backup in case something happens... but I've got someone that needs the 2nd ECU back soon...

wondering if I should wait or just send the ecu out to be reflashed...

i too was wondering .. is this going to require a 2.0 cable?

The OpenPort 1.2 cable works for the DBW ECUs. I'm just trying to get the map editing finished, or at least to a point with a non-broken feature set. We should see support for the DBW's before the months end. Evo's will come not long after that when the Evo hardware is ready.

Hi Colby, would the OpenPort 1.0G cable work with your new software - to read at least ? Is there anyway to modify the 1.0G cable to do flashing?

The 1.0G can technically work, because the DBW ECUs I have seen generate theire own reflash voltage. Some may still look for 12V on this line though, even though the don't use it. One issue is operational speed. The DBW reflash software I am running right now operates at too high of a baudrate for the OpenPort 1.0. I will eventually change the software to operate at a slower baudrate for the 1.0, but probably not in the first release. I will try to support all of the existing versions out there.

Oh no!! I have v1.0 of the OpenPort cable, I have the cable that can provide a flashing voltage... please support this cable when you release your software!!! (Or let me know if I can exchange for v1.2+$$$)

thanks!!!
