reading/writing problem

Postby sureshot007 » Mon Jan 21, 2008 1:52 pm

When I try to read or write to an 03 WRX, I get this:

[16:09:53.822] Using interface OpenPort 1.3 Subaru TX46P7iWd1afb4d5cb2fdefcbbc1174b0e871c8f1590e3cf
[16:09:58.819] denso02_bootloader_cmd_start
[16:10:00.051] denso02_bootloader_cmd_start
[16:10:01.283] denso02_bootloader_cmd_start
[16:10:02.514] denso02_bootloader_cmd_start
[16:10:03.746] denso02_bootloader_cmd_start
[16:10:04.197] kernel get version
[16:10:04.527] interface close
[16:10:04.537] interface close

The computer and cable are fine, as I used them on my car with no issues. Any other ideas you can think of?

Having the same problem with my car and a friends same message cant seem to get it to start without going into diagnostics mode. Next try is to delete all files and programs from computer then reinstall, it worked once before for me. If you have sorted your problems out please let me know how you did it.

I too get this same problem. I'm having issues with bugeyes only. A USDM 2002 WRX and USDM 2003 WRX wagon. My 2005 WRX wagon and my friend's 2005 USDM STI read and write just fine with this same hardware. Please, someone put up an answer if you find one. I'm confused, but they aren't my cars, so I don't want to put much time into a solution if I don't need to. :)

I used to have the same trouble, but it was a timing trouble...

YOu have to have your software ready to download or upload and connectors in place before turning the key to "on" position

I mean as you put the key on, clic on the mouse to let software communicate with car ECU

It works!! :o

I have the same problem with my 2005 WRX.
Timing the ignition turn, with the read command shouldn't be causing a problem. My mates cable and sofware seems to be reading/flashing my ecu with no poblems...irrelevant of when the ignition is turned on...hmmm :?
