Need to adjust the TPS value for EGR (evo8)

Postby C6ect.ect » Tue Oct 02, 2007 5:59 pm

What are the possibilities having EGR tables in future ecuflash versions?

I really need to adjust the TPS value for EGR control in my car real bad. The throttle response with the car's current setup loads the engine before the EGR has a chance to close pneumatically. So exhaust gas is still recirculating at part throttle heating things up and causing knock before it has a chance to close. If I could just set the TPS value lower with EGR contol then the solenoid would energize faster stopping recirc before things get hot. This only happens at part throttle when the system normally (OEM) starts to shut down.

Any info on this topic as a parameter yet?

Also for those of you involved, thanks for ECUFLASH in the first place!

Factors that determine EGR solenoid duty include TPS, MAF, coolant temp, and RPM :P

if you apply for an aktivematrix.com account, there are people there who can better help you with this.

I am beginning to believe many of the BE tables belong to the EGR system - 95% sure. Colby?
