I've been scouring this forum to see if I could get a clue, but no joy. Maybe I missed something. So I'll ask it here at the risk of being redundant.
ECUFlash is unable to read the ROM from my '04 Legacy. Tell me if I did this correctly...
- connected green connectors together (behind accelerator foot panel)
- connected white connectors together (behind accelerator foot panel)
- click read rom
- choose 2004 lgt
- click ok and quickly turn on ignition
ECUFlash fails to get any result. Are there any other connectors on the passenger side (left)?? I'm using the open port 1.3 cable.
Any help is appreciated.
They might turn your trip meter into a diagnostic trouble code reader. Give following procedure a try.RocketmanTT wrote:BTW, what are the white connectors for, ...
RocketmanTT wrote:Norbs - Thanks very much for the tip. I'll give it another shot and let you know. BTW, what are the white connectors for, and how different are the JDM/ADM LGT?
BoxerFan - Funny thing is that I had no luck with 1.29a either. But your comment is worth trying again.
What I realize is that I used to hit 'OK' 1st, then turn my ign on. Maybe that was the problem. So I'll keep u guys posted.
Thanks again.

The following are the steps I took, hope it would help you in pulling your ROM.
1. Key at "off position"
2. Connect green plugs
3. Connect tactrix cable
4. Start ecuflash
5. Select read mode
6. Select 04LGT mode
7. At this point, ecuflash will prompt you.
8. Move cursor above "Ok" button
9. Switch key to "ON", and click "Ok".

Did you experience this?

I only experienced what u have when I used ecuFlash 1.30, or 1.29a with "05/06 LGT method". Sorry I can't help u further...only suggestion is to try other version/methods, or use ecuXplorer to reset ECU before trying again.
