Found the answer in another post, but for reference the XML file needs modifing.

<xmlid>93660005</xmlid>
<internalidaddress>f52</internalidaddress>
<internalidhex>93660005</internalidhex>
<make>Mitsubishi</make>
<market>JDM</market>
<model>Lancer</model>
<submodel>EVO8 MR</submodel>
<transmission>Manual</transmission>
<year>2004</year>
<flashmethod>evo</flashmethod>
<memmodel>SH7052</memmodel>

Changed flashing method to:

<xmlid>93660005</xmlid>
<internalidaddress>f52</internalidaddress>
<internalidhex>93660005</internalidhex>
<make>Mitsubishi</make>
<market>JDM</market>
<model>Lancer</model>
<submodel>EVO8 MR</submodel>
<transmission>Manual</transmission>
<year>2004</year>
<flashmethod>mitsukernel</flashmethod>
<memmodel>SH7052</memmodel>

Ah, when I did those xml files they were for v1.28, think the flashing method might have changed with 1.29?

Cheers for that just had the same problem, had to change it in 96260007 aswell before it would work.

With the v1.28 I had to tweek the software to recognize my 94620008 ECU ROM correctly and the stepper ROM was messed up.

But with the v1.29a all ROM is perfect but is being incorrectly recognized as 96260007 and once in awhile (on both computers) I get a XmlHandlerHelper sparse error and I have to reinstall from download the v1.29a

Whats this?
