help reflashing EVO IX

Postby alwaysinboost » Fri Oct 27, 2006 5:19 pm

My friend has a new 06 IX. I D/L'ed his rom and was able to see all his parimeters just fine. I adjusted his stationary rev limiter and tried to reflash the ROM back to the ECU but it stopped in the middle and said there was an error and I needed to contact Colby. I tried about 1/2 a dozen different times with the same result.

Well I sent Colby an IM but I guess he's too busy, which I understand, so I'm asking the forum for help.

Does anyone have any ideas??

As we talked about on Evom...and even though you don't have a mini battery...have you tried hooking up a battery charger to the car and shutting off all other electronics/lights.

That's what worked for me.

I didn't try the battery charger thing but there wasn't any accessories on at the time. I don't know why it would D/L the ROM with no problem on both cars and then not reflash on both cars. I really don't think its a voltage issue.
