Immobilizer

Postby TTPengineering » Fri Jul 07, 2006 8:08 am

What is the deal with the immobilizer. I thought it was alphanumeric 4 digit. However EcuFlash pulls numeric 8801 for example. I will request the Immobilizer from another program and see if it differs.

Standby.

It is hexidecimal so 0000 to FFFF or 0 to 65535.

I pulled the immobilizer code with another flash utility and it read 0031. Ecuflash read 8801.

What is the conflict here? Is it pulling the wrong data?

I trust the other system I used as the correct code.

Interesting...

I've compiled a little spreadsheet of codes that i've found floating around. I had hoped to find some repeated codes or some logic to them. I havn't found very much. However, of the 14 codes that I have, 7 of them have "01" as the second word. That is over half with the format 0x**01.

It was a encryption from another flash program that was reading it as "encrypted" with the other program.

Got the "real" immobilizer code for the scrambled one and got the car running.
