I'd guess there are map definitions similar to the DBW Subarus. Do a search for the hex offset of the exact start of the map you have found and see if you can find code that points to it.

thanks.. but 7 and 8 definitions are different..

ecuflash appears to have XML files for the Evo7 and 8, however, I can't get the Evo 7 .hex files from this forum to display any map info, but the Evo 8 file i tried did work.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong? most of this stuff is pretty new to me, and a lot is way over my head.
Hopefully after this next week I'll have a little time to download my ecu's file and try opening that up.

What ECU revision do you have and what maps do you want?

the xml are defined on evo8 specific and not on evo7base..so you won't see any maps.. and the location of the maps are different compared to 8..

so you'd see garbage when you redo the xmls..
the fun part for me was finding out the maps
