Reading Rom. What am I doing wrong?

I downloaded all the required software (latest versions and definitions etc) and using it on a Laptop running Win7.
Plugged the cable into car and started up ecuflash to read the rom.
First of all when they say to plug in the cable and let the software update the cable. I plugged it in and went to the Help licensing page.
Clicked on apply and closed the window.
I then click on the Read Rom icon on the main page.
A popup window come up with different vehicles. But the Liberty 3.0R is not on the list.
I them tried various other options. Sometimes it starts to read and them stops with an error.
The Liberty 3.0R is in the subdirectory under rommetadata.
How do I get it to show up?
