32-bit microprocessor core; 286, 386, 486, 586 (Pentium); basically, the regular PC. x64 is a 64-bit processor family.
I don't know the details of what Macs run, but I believe late model desktops use Intel x86 cores.
[Can someone who knows all the details please fill in the spaces here?]

That's correct. The Mac used Motorola 68000-series CPUs in the beginning (also referred to ask 68k-series), then PowerPC CPUs, and most recently they switched to Intel CPUs.

It just occurred to me that Intel might not be using the '80x86' designation anymore. I haven't seen it in print for a long time.... But since any new Intel CPU still runs x86 code I guess it's reasonable to call it an x86.

Is there anyway this can be compiled as a universal? I mean if i'm using an mac intel laptop i'm just going to run the windows version under boot camp anyways. I would just really like to have it run on my ppc 10.5 powerbook.

Noticed this a few times on other cars that I was trying to download
their rom file. The dialogue box for choosing the car make & year
would not populate and would not allow me to download the rom file.

well i'm okinawa japan and really love to share these rom files that
i have access to but i can not get them downloaded.

so why is this screen not operation correctly.

tried versions 1.42 and 1.43

perplexed..

That just sounds like Metadata problems. Check that the ECUFlash metadata settings point to the correct folder, and that the expected XML files are there.
All the best.

Edit: I'm not sure about this, but perhaps if the vehicle interface isn't supported fully (or drivers aren't supported or installed), maybe only the 'supported' vehicles show up in the list, which would be none. Just a thought.

no the meta files are in the correct folder since it does this when loading the
software onto hard drive...
