ECUFlash definitions

Postby EFI-Unlimited » Tue Sep 26, 2006 9:31 pm

Hey, I want to make some ECUFlash definitions for some Ford binarys I have. Where do I get the info on how to do that?

Additionally, Ford defines their 3D table scales with 2, 2D functions. Would the people in charge be interested in incorporating this functionality?

If so, I can provide all the info nessessary to do so.

Ecuedit is pretty handy at setting up the definitions. You will have to stare at the hex editor screen.

Care to post your binary?

This is interesting for me. You can contact with me (PM,e-mail) and describe what functionality you need

Freon,

I have done some looking for ECUEdit, and I cant find it. I will look again, but if you can post a link or place to get it, that would be helpful.

As for the binary, I have most any binary that Ford produced 1987-2007. If someone has a particular interest, let me know.

The author of Ecuedit posts the latest version in this subforum:

I'd be interested to see a Cobra file.

Ok. The following files are Cobra bins

GUFBXF1.BIN = X3Z boxcode = 1993 Cobra Mustang
CBAZAF5.BIN = J4J1 boxcode = 1994 Cobra Mustang
RYBE2C6.BIN = YDH1 boxcode = 2003 Cobra Mustang
FBGH0CD.BIN = AMZ1 boxcode = 2004 Cobra Mustang

give me a minute and I can get the NBU5 boxcode for the 2007 Cobra.... 5.4 litre supercharged.

Here is some tech info for those that are curious. This info for the most part covers everything up to 2004. Its examples are based on the A9L.BIN.

Looks like that PDF pretty much lays out everything you would need to make an XML for Ecuedit or Enguinity.

I poked around some of the other files. Definitely not laid out as obviously as the Denso ECUs.

I agree, they aren't cut and dried. The late model PowerPC stuff is a little easier, in that all the data is RAW, no binary decimal points, that makes simple exploring easier. Anyways, Ill be lurking around here from time to time. I have some pretty extensive info on Ford PCM's. If anyone wants a 'jump start' I can help. I think I want to attempt to attack Chrylser stuff next. It seems that it is still 'dark', no one has done much with them.
