Hi,

I am a new baby in this forum. Please advise where I can find the schematic :)

I breadboarded out the circuit posted earlier in the thread. Things aren't working perfectly yet and I have a few questions.

What is the BOOT pin for?

I am working with a 2007 WRX, I am assuming no difference between the 2006 and 2007 models.

I have tried both enginuity and openecu with no luck. Neither piece of software can read the rom image. (Enginuity can't start logging)

I haven't ruled out a driver issue yet with the computer I'm using. I'll get the most recent ftdi drivers from their website and give it another shot.

Thanks for any advice

Digikey, at this moment, shows it has 560 in stock of the L4931ABD120 (see http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail?name=497-1153-1-ND).
Digikey part number 497-1153-1-ND is L4931ABD120.

Do not worry that part S5800-05-ND is described as "valeur ajoutée" with 0 in stock at Digikey. Read the explanation for that at http://dkc1.digikey.com/FR/FR/HELP/help07.html.

To save everyone else the headache and heartache of the last few days.. the OpenPort 1.3D as sold by EvoScan.com does not follow this schematic, the RTS line does not flip DTR to drive the Kline.

Finally succeeded in initing the ECU by using FTDI bitbang mode to directly drive the TX pin. Timing that works (possibly not quite right... who knows) is:

300ms low
2800ms high
1818ms low
high

<change out of bitbang and into 15625 baud> and expect C0 55 EF 85 although I haven't managed to receive the C0 yet the FTDI always misses it.. not sure if syncing up or timing.. but I get the 55 EF 85 quite reliably.

What does the BOOT line connect to? its just hanging off the 555 timer not connected to anything else. I don't want to make a board for it and have to fix one line, or find out it doesn't work

So the schematics on the first page is for the 1.3U. What has changed in 1.3U to become OpenPort 2.0? Is the 2.0 schematics available also?
