ECU FLASH NOT WORKING

Postby vongvangboy » Tue Aug 05, 2008 10:38 am

I got the elm327 cable and I have the white wrx connector for my 2004 subaru impreza wrx. I also connect the 2 green connector on the bottom but i'm not sure if it's the elm327 box that is making it not working but it work fine with pcmscan. Please help thank you You can email me at vongvangboy@yahoo.com as well thank you

ELM cable can't work with ecuflash as there are not SSM compliant. You must get a tactric cable.

As I understand ECU Flash works via ISO9141 protocol. ELM327 allows to connect to ISO9141 too. Why can't it be used with ECUFlash?

It probably could be, if ECUFlash supported it. It's more than just a virtual COM port. It would be too much work to get ECUFlash to support every ISO... cable on the market. Best to just use the one that it was designed for.
