cable interface question?

Postby Onefststi » Mon Sep 11, 2006 5:20 pm

Guys, (and Gals)

sorry for the newb question but i have searched and cant find a solid answer.... so... I have a Serial to OBD cable (like one that would come from a superchips or hypertech programmer) i was wondering if i could use that cable to data log my ECU with software found on this site?? I have a 2004 USDM STI.

Thanks in advance :?

If it supports ISO it should be working for logging ...

Why don't you simply download the logger at http://www.tari.co.za/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?catselect=ecuexplorermain and try it yourself?

Just an F.Y.I..... it dosen't work.. :x    oh well... I would assume that it is beacuse the cable is a direct connection between the serial port and the OBD-2 port. there is no interface in the cable it self..
