need help with flashing jumper on my03 STi JDM

Postby rasheedn » Fri Oct 14, 2011 12:18 am

Hi there,

I have a client that transformed his 06 WRX into a 2003 JDM STi
they moved everything - except the flashing jumper!

can anyone help me or explain to me which wires the jumper actually connects?

Thanks

There are 2 types, IIRC:
Single connection: connects 'L-Line' (I think it's actually not L-Line, but a manufacturer specific pin) through from the OBDII connector to the ECU
Double connection: connects L-Line and 12V flash voltage to ECU
Earlier models started with the former, then somewhere changed to the latter, not sure when. DBW doesn't have them.

i talked to the guy that did the work on the car

he told me to connect the -Red and blue and Red and green lines from the ECU to the 1 and 3 spots on the ODB2 socket

i found the lines BUT on the ODB2 it doesnt make sense as the tactrix cable has no connection on 3!

im now stuck again!
