OP2 slow logging with new firmware

Postby And » Sun Sep 05, 2010 6:12 am

HI All

I've current updated the ecuflash software and this has updated the firmaware on the op2 cable, but now I only seem to be able to log 80 items a sec using evoscan, where as before I used to get 160 anyone suggest anything I can do to get the speed back?

Thanks
Andy

ok i've checked this today with an op1.3 cable and can get 180-200 items per second, so I defo think there is a problem with the OP2 firmware, i'm using evoscan 2.70090, ecuflash 1.43.3150 and firmware 1.11.313

cheers

I have been looking into this myself, my logs show the OP2 making a can call ~ 10 MSEC, it takes the ECU 5mSec to respond to a KWP2000 Mode 23 request. If you can capture that on an interupt, and send your next request, then you can approach 200 samples per second.

I am assuming that these commands are on a 10 ms task, that gives the OP enough headroom to parse the new data packet, and wait, and then send the next request.

Made my own program in QT, using a different Can interface (www.canusb.com)

Colby gives up all of the sample code to do all of this stuff yourselves. The c++ header drivers for the CANUSB card gives a interrupt handler for CAN receive of messages, and you can the reque a new mode23 packet immediately after.

My 10 channel Data set is 20hZ per variable data right now <:
