02/03 and 04/05 Subaru WRX init connectors now available

Postby cboles » Mon Apr 24, 2006 5:07 pm

I now have init connectors available on http://tactrix.com for the 2002/2003 MY and 2004/2005 MY WRXs. Hopefully no one will have to jam paperclips and the like into the connector sockets anymore while reflashing  ...

Is this the only connector we need to hookup?

Is this the only plug that has this shape right there under the dash? I don't see any others.. ?

You also need to hookup the green test mode connectors while reflashing or reading the ECU.

Well I was impatient and rather than be smart and wait for a reply I stuck some paperclips into the 4-prong connector between the top and bottom pins, and viola I was able to program my ECU.

I noticed there's a single prong male/female connector set right there too.. Are those the 'green test connector'? Why am I supposed to connect those?

What model car do you have? Are the connectors you mention green?

Get the cable which says "for WRX" - it includes both types of connectors.
