1.3U connectivity Problem

Postby Hotwire » Tue Jan 05, 2010 6:56 pm

I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this for me:

I have a Tactrix 1.3U cable - Cable connects fine, can use RomRaider and Learning View without issue.

However I put the car into diagnostic mode using the green connectors - get fans cycling and CEL flashing, however when I go to read the rom with ECUFlash I get nothing! ECUFlash just states "closing interface"

I have previously both read and written with a 1.3M cable no worries. Made sure I could read the ROM with ECUFlash after the flash too - worked fine. However, I attached the 1.3U cable not even 24 hours later and I can't read the ROM

Only thing I can think of is that when in test mode, my battery volts are sitting at 11.9V with the fans cycling. Is there a lockout in the 1.3U cable if volts are below 12.0V?

Any help is appreciated as very confused

There is a lockout for under and over voltage on HC16-based ECUs, but I thought it let you know if that was a problem. 11.9V might be cutting it pretty fine if the ECU is that type though.

If it's a DBW ECU, there shouldn't be those issues.

Otherwise, all I can think of is updating drivers. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Sorry should have clarified.
This is on a 2004 ADM Subaru Liberty (Legacy) GT with drive by wire 32 bit ECU.

I have removed and reinstalled the drivers a couple of times now. Maybe worth trying ECU Flash 1.41 for the 1.3U cable?
