Is cable v 1.0 (or whatever first one was) safe for Chrysler

Postby yarikoptic » Wed Jul 08, 2009 10:55 pm

Hi All,

Please pardon my ignorance and lame question: I was among first 'customers' of openecu and got OpenPort v.1.0. If my memories are intact, it had some constant voltage applied to one of the pins for reflashing (there were not program-side API for controlling that). And I've forgotten which pin was it. Now I've got some used Chrysler T&C minivan, which I hope has compatible interface but I don't want to burn ECU if there is a possibility of that constantly available voltage to burn it... could anyone enlighten me what was that pin with re-programming voltage and either it is safe for regular OBDII interfaces (and Chrysler's in particular).

Thanks everyone in advance!
