2.0 cable usb not seen

I have the new can cable, and down loaded the 2.0 software, plug the usb into the PC and it doesn't see it, installing the software and says drivers were installed, but even if they weren't it would ask for a prompt, it doesn't see it at all.
is there something i am not doing?

Ok, when people first plug the openport 2 cable, does it promt you for drivers? or does it know it is plugged in?

It definitely should detect the new hardware the first time and install the drivers.

I tried another usb cable, one off my phone, now it sees it drivers installed and lights come on, but plug into the car and i get a black window saying it can't do this operation?

After the proper installation of EcuFlash v1.40 OP2 should be visible.

I used an older software than the later one on the web and now it works.
