Which OBD2 Cable???

Postby deathfather1 » Mon Aug 18, 2008 1:46 am

Hi everyone

Im just starting to look into the idea of linking PC to car. The EVOSCAN software seems the one to go for but im just wondering which OBD2 cable people would recomend.

Iv looked at the Tactrix cable whichs seem a good one but I think it only supports one protocol. I would prefair to have one that could support all protocols for future proofing.

I also looked at ELMSCAN 5 Bluetooth which seems good. I like the idea of having the bluetooth built in so that your laptop does not need to be plugged into the ECU. This also supports all 3 protocols and has auto protocol detect.

Has anyone had experience with any of these cables or any others that are just as good.

Any help would be great...

Hold off for a week or 2 and wait for OpenPort 2 from Tactrix. It's the duck's nuts.
