OpenPort 1.3u no longer working in Vista

Postby ev8siv3 » Wed Mar 12, 2008 2:05 pm

So my car has been down for a while but just finally got back together. The other day I stuck the tactrix cable in and got a not so happy response sound. The interface cable never showed up on the bottom of EcuFlash and there was a exclamation point in the device manager.

I tried system restores, all kinds of crap, uninstalling drivers/software, reinstalling and no avail.

Here is a screenshot of what shows up when i try to re-load the drivers:

I feel your pain.

Up until yesterday I have had no issues with my EVO7 and a cable bought through Limitless (EvoScan), and have done a number of tuning sessions with ECU flash. Suddenly neither ECUflash or EvoScan recognises the cable as being there, yet it shows up in the Devices on Vista as having no problem at all.

Its a 1.3u cable as well.

Was there a recent windows update that may have caused this to go bad?
I had an app that one day suddenly stopped playing video files correctly, immediately after an update. Shortly after there was an update to the update which fixed it.
An option to consider at least.
