OBDII KKL USB Serial Prolific Virtual Com XP not Working

Postby dock » Sat Jan 26, 2008 11:18 am

I can accces my Opel Astra G 2000 engine using the software OP-Com demo "http://www.vezerdiagnosztika.hu/" and also Tech2 softwares with windows XP using a KKL generic interface but it only works in a notebook with a true serial interface, not Virtual com. I have two USB Serial adapters "Prolific PL2303 and Silabs CP2102" but both do not work, I´m almost sure in my research it is due the protocol is done by software, there is no IRQ associated, also may be some problem with ser2pl.sys "Prolific" and Serenum.sys "Microsoft". I´m not sure if is because this all new programs use a PIC IC to bypass this problem, from my view it is an absurd that both Prolific and Microsoft are not able to solve this and we are not able to use a USB Serial adapteer for OBDII applications.

If some one had the same problem and can help....

I see the only way to reprogram the sys drivers in a try to solve the problem.
