Can’t download ECU ROM image (2008 USDM FXT)

Postby xcntrk_75 » Fri Aug 24, 2007 7:37 am

I’m an existing Enginuity/EcuFlash/Tactrix user and just picked up a new 08’ Forester Sports 2.5 XT in the USA. I’m unable to download my ecu rom image using EcuFlash with the errors produced below. I’m running the latest EcuFlash version and my tactrix/open-port is working correctly.

I can interface with the ecu using Enginuity/ECUlogger and pull all kinds of real-time data including ECU ID (4E12584107), however cannot pull the ROM image using EcuFlash. Diagnostics mode is working correctly (fans cycle, CEL flashes) and I’ve tried every model-year available from the download-rom menu. Can anybody help?

That car is not supported by ECUflash at this time. It is CAN bus. It will require a new cable anyway if support is added. You can search the forums for CAN bus to find more information but it has come up several times.
