Postby integroid » Tue Jan 09, 2007 11:45 am

Does anyone know if a VAGCOM cable will work with ecuexplorer or ecuflash? Thanks.

It won't work with EcuFlash, but it may work for logging in EcuExplorer...

Hi, I use a VAG-COM cable for datalogging with ecuEdit/Mitsulogger on my Galant `95 and it works fine. Off course it uses FTDI232, and at the signal level there is Vishay Si9243. Example of the circuit is here http://www.id2.cz/obd2/schema_obd2_usb.png , if you are from the czech/slovak republic you can buy it e.g. here http://mtaplus.cz/ This cable does not work with ScanTech for OBD-II because of the way how it makes wake-up - this cable does not have RTS, DTR connected. It also does not work with EcuFlash..

I used a VagCom cable yesterday on my '04 STi. Worked with ECUFlash, but wouldn't work with the Enginuity Logger.

Interesting, i have a REVO Technik refhaling cable which is for VW/Audi cars that works with the VAGCOM, maybe it will work with ECUFlash/Enginuity/ECUEdit, etc. :)

Ill give it a try and post the results.
