why doesnt AccessPort v2 OBD-II dongle work?

Postby MBasile » Fri Jan 05, 2007 12:05 am

I'm just wondering why the OBD-II cable that comes with the Cobb AccessPort doesnt work with ecuExplorer. Is it a matter of having the right driver? or even with the correct driver is there something that'd keep it from working? How many differences can there be between different obd-II/usb cables?

thats for the cable from the first one, which was a very simple obdII to serial. the new one is a seemingly more complex obdII to usb. I've since talked with Cobb and they said there new cable is not an off the shelf product, it was designed by them and they are going to work on making a driver available for Windows at least (everyone hates us mac people)
