Hello All,

I'm new to the forum and Subaru scene. I've put a deposit on a 2003 JDM LGT 2.0 Spec-B (4th generation) and would like to be able to do my own performance tuning.

I've had a look at some of the material and Tactrix has cables, but I'm not sure which one I shoud get. Can someone point me in the right direction.

Also, does anyone have stock and modified ECU images for this model?

Lastly, can images be viewed and modified offline and if so, what utility should I use.

Thanks much.

Wow, I can't believe so many folks viewed this and not a single reply.

Surely someone must have the answer.

Thanks much...I'll probably give Tactrix a call.

Any of the Tactrix cables currently offered for sale should work. The only question is whether you need a reflash connector. If you opt for "OpenPort for Subaru WRX and Drive-by-wire vehicles" then you should be able to read/write all 2002+ turbo and DBW Subaru ECUs.

You're right, a friend of mine told me that the OpenPort 1.3U cable is the one I need and those come with reflash connectors too. 8)
