- Year? 2005
- Model? STI 2.0L
- Market? JDM ( I think , it is middle east specs so I assume it is JDM)
- What cable? OpenPort Universal for Mitsubishi and Subaru
- Exactly what steps did you take? I have installed software successfully . Have connected OBII connector and the white and blue to the white and green connectors ,open the ignition ,Pressed their read from ECU button yet I'm having the error !!!
- What is the ECU id number? 3D 44 59 30 05
What powertrain? 6SPEED non DSSD

the thing is that the green connector has only one Wier so there is no use to put the the blue connector. what i did is connect the 2 together.

connect the two green male-female pairs (diagnosis) together, and put the white block into the white piece. Then go through the sequence as described in the guides on scoobypedia. Some people say you don't need the white block connected but I found mine requires it, else the cycling continues and it doesnt read. With it connected, the cycling stops.

This is correct. Plug the two green connectors together. This puts the car in test/diagnostic mode. This is always required on all Subaru models (2.0 turbo and 2.5L turbo), as far as I know.

You should also be plugging in a flash block into the white connector. Some cars do not need this step, but until you get it working you should not skip this step. Once you get it to work and know what you are doing, you can try again and skip plugging in the white connector.
