CAN cable

Postby Rotawerx » Sat Nov 11, 2006 8:15 pm

I am sure I have seen it mentioned somewhere on here, but I can not find it when I do a search.

Just curious if there is a can-bus cable in developement? I know there are several sorts on can used though.
I am wanting to access an RX8...

Thanks, Nigel.

Hehe, thanks.

Been thinking might be easier to work out with an emulator anyway. Be nice to be able to reflash through diag port once that is worked out though.

This might also be of interest as they have RX-8 enhanced version of their software:

I have the CAN-SCAN RS-232 which I used on the Mazda 3 I used to have, but none of the Mazda enhanced software was available back then. The standard software package worked fine though. Works fine on my girlfriends Mazda 2 also.

Awesome. Thanks for your help, obviously I haven't spent enough time on google searching... ;)
I am actually a mod on emanageforums.com and I can appreciate your time being put into my questions. I didnt actually expect much of a response to be honest. The main reason I stumbled across this forum was when I was looking at bosch emulators and chip burners, and wondered if I could do it to later model stuff instead of using a piggy-back which induce their own bunch of problems.

Nige.
