OK .. I forgot to connect the jumper flash socket. When I connect that flash jumper + green connector everything works now.

Year? Model? Market? What cable? Exactly what steps did you take? What is the ECU id number? What powertrain?

Not too many people from Indonesia around here, so you'll need to fill us in.

Hi Freon

My car spec:
- GDA WRX is year 2002 Aussie version Right Hand Drive non AVCS
- The flash jumper I can use is the four pin that suppose to be for 2003.
- Stock Engine is 2.0lt but upgraded to 2.35ltr EJ22 close deck block
- Stock gearbox is 5 speed (Old STI Spec) but upgraded to 6 speed JDM STI

The steps I took were exactly like the instruction from OpenECU web but I forgot to plug the flash socket. After I plugged it everything ran smooth.

I use Tactrix Cable and their jumper too.

ECU Revision: A4SE900I
ECU Version: AH570

Anything else you need to know, feel free to ask.

Are you the same Freon from NASIOC?

Yes, same Freon.

Well that ECU should be supported. Ecuflash has XML for it. Do your fans start to cycle when you try? Did you get the green test connector connected? Sure you are hitting the "OK" button on Ecuflash IMMEDIATELY after you turn the key? Turn the key to run, or just accessory? It is very important to be fast. Since ECUFlash has an "OK/Cancel" box to confirm reading or flashing, you should bring up this screen before you turn the key so all you have to do after you turn the key is click the "OK" button. You could also try clicking OK then turning the key after.

There should be maps controlling the MAP sensor scaling, it is a question of if they are found in your model ROM. I've noticed they are not for many models.

Hi Freon

Everything run smooth now ... got the Rom image but when I opened it with Enginuity, I can't find the menu to adjust or calibrate the MAP Sensor.

All I got are:
- Boost control
- Wastegate control
- Fuel map
- Timing map
- Knock control
- MAF control
- Rev Limit
- Speed Limit
- Idle control
- Close loop control
- Cel

Did I miss something? Can you help me how to adjust the MAP sensor to turboxs sensor later?

Thanks Freon

To make it read the stock ECU:
- Connecting to OBD port using Tactric Cable (have to use this Tactrix Cable)
- Connect the flash jumper block
- Call the ECUFlash program
- Click Read Rom
- Pop up menu asking to click ok right away after switch the starter to turn on the ignition but don't start the engine (last step before crank the engine)
- Reading the Rom
- Save the rom Image
- Finish & Open with Enginuity.

Those were the steps I took. Hopefully this will help .. :)

Maybe you need to do XML writing to generate your ECU definition but I don't know how to do that.

Better to ask Freon or someone here who really knows about it.

If I am not wrong, this XML writing is for generate the definiton of your ECU. If you ECU definiton is not in the ECUFlash table list yet than ECUFlash can't read your stock ECU Rom Image.
With XML Writing done than ECUFLash can read your stoc ECU Rom Image.
Just my 2cnt.

Assami

If I read this correctly you used both the white and blue connectors?
The blue connector is for a different model WRX, I think you should just connect the white connector and join the two existing green plugs.
.
.
Can someone tell me what the white connector is jumping, and why it is required to read the ECU on the later models.
I am trying to read the rom from an ECU on the bench and I get the same error Assami gets, I wonder if I need to simulate this reflash connector in my wiring, but I don't know what it is doing.
