Similar comms issues?

Hi Prana. Any resolution to this issue? I am also having comms issues & don't have the brains you seem to, to figure it out.

I posted a separate note on the board in the hope someone can help me.

Your installation of EcuFlash has a bad set of ROM metadata for one reason or another. Perhaps you have pointed it to a different directory, or have edited an XML file erroneously. In any case, EcuFlash can build a list of possible ROMs type to read from for the read menu, and that is causing the problem, not the cable.

I think I figured out how to get this working properly.

1. Uninstall ALL occurnaces of EcuFlash, FTDI drivers, OpenPort Drivers, Unplug Cable, etc...
2. Install a copy of EcuFlash 1.28 but DO NOT install the OpenPort Drivers when prompted.
3. Reboot computer.
4. Unzip attached file to a folder on your desktop
5. Place Tactrix cable in the computer
6. When prompted to install driver, select from "Other Location"
7. Install driver from unzipped folder on your desktop
8. Configure COM Port to your liking.
9. Done!
