openport 1.3?

Postby johsti » Wed Sep 27, 2006 11:11 pm

I just received my tactrix cable today, and when I opened up ECU flash it says my cable is an openport 1.3 Subaru TX4527jz

I thought the 1.3 openport was for Mitsubishi's, and the 1.2 was for non-DBW Subarus.

Sorry for the Newb question, but I want to make sure I have the right cable

Thanks for the response. I saw that table when I searched, and it made me even more concerned that I might have the wrong cable even though it came with the flash connectors.

I have an 04 WRX nonDBW. I can flash and read fine with ECUflash, but I can't log with ECUexplorer. I have checked the comm settings with no luck. ECUexplorer wokerd fine with my accessport cable, but not with the tactrix.

Do I have the wrong cable? Or, can I change the drivers?

Thanks

Sorry for the late reply. All of the cables are becoming "1.3" cables now. If you download the new 1.29 version of EcuFlash, it installs different drivers which allow the cable to appear both as a COM port (for logging applications) and as a native device (which EcuFlash likes).

Downloaded ECUflash 1.29, and everything works fine now.

Thanks
