JTAG SH7058

I have access to some pretty expensive jtag tools, I have an ECU not subaru or mitsubishi, that uses the SH7058. I have been trying to get the jtag working but it will not connect, every once in a while I get the device ID, does anybody with any knowledge know if the jtag is disabled on most SH7058 from production, or is their another way to get a rom dump.

Hello, in the shbootmode.pdf doesn't show which is the component that should use.
Is anybody able in helping?

It's the FTDI USB 232 USB to Serial chip. You can get a semi-prebuilt board from mouser.com or whatever. DLP-USB232M-G should work.
