Can anyone tell me which controller chip is used in the ECU of the 8th generation Mitsubishi Galant (1999-2003 US Models)?

Is it the H8/539F?

Mine is the 2000 California spec Galant with 4 cylinder engine and automatic transmission. Thanks

The quickest way to know for sure is to open the ECU case and take some pictures. I (or others) can tell you what CPU it is.

2 versions:
two MH7203F processors (H8/539F custom edition) or
MH8305F (SH7055F custom edition)

second replace first from 05.2000 to 06.2000.
