I've a OBD2 Interface Multiprocol and i try to connect to the ECU by K-Line, but not good results (i try about 30 different softwares :( ). I try with ECUflash also and get a error (i will post this error later, donĀ“t have the picture in my job......all the info is in my home).....hope you can help me.

i want to contribute to this project, so anything i can help.....just ask.

Greetings

I'm not quite finished yet...bringing this back from the dead.

We could use that as an interface. SFR has done it using this. Why can't we? All we need is some simple software and since you guys have done it multiple times why not just take the step forward in creating something that will spark interest in Hyundais again? Genesis's can also use something similar...right?

The hardware's the easy bit. The vehicle security is the biggest challenge. You really need a full ROM and a capture of a reflashing event to start with.
Without that it's a long long road.

I've acquired both..how do I flash the stock ECU with it? Currently we need to take the Eprom out and program it before putting it back in. I want to be able to do it through OBD...

Get IDA Pro and disassemble the ROM. Have fun!

You have both of what?
Sounds like you need to get IDA Pro and disassemble the ROM. Have fun!

How do I disassemble it? Is there a method or do I just search until I find?

You first have to identify the processor type, then find out if it's supported by IDA Pro.
Then buy IDA Pro- it's worth it.
Then read this thread: viewtopic.php?f=54&t=4362

It's a Siemens C167. IDA PRO supports C166. Not sure about 167.. :|

Pretty sure it will be close enough to disassemble.

bump...

sounds like we keep making a little progress here and there. I would like to see this project come to life. I don't have a lot to give in the way of support but i'd happily do what I can to get this rolling again... I feel that once we crack the secrets of one or two ECUs, we should be able to easily adapt programming for multiple powerplants.
