Hi I am new to this forum I have been trying to upload a map in a Evo 8 using ecuflash but we now have an idea its already flashed with Ecutek software and it wont allow a connection is there any way around this

With Mitsubishi there is. Search for 'ECU Unlocker for EVO'. It's a small program that injects functionality into ECUFlash to gain 'back door' entry into those ECUs.

The problem I have is that using a scan tool it looks like its running on the low octane ignition map but I am not experiencing any detonation on the det cans .The car is fitted with a new knock sensor which hasnt made any difference
