5MT rom on 4eat TCU?
Posted: Tue Feb 01, 2011 9:21 amOK, odd question here. I have a forester XT 4eat. A company out there makes a Stand Alone TCU that they can adapt to run with the 4eat. The problem here is that when i disconnect the stock TCU, the ECU is going to have a fit because it won't detect the TCU. My question is if i can't find a 5mt ECU to swap in, can I just flash in a 5MT rom, or should i just leave the ECU alone and try and disable all the codes that are going to be associated with disconnecting the TCU?
