sniffing the ODB2 communication

I was just thinking what are the possibility to sniff and record the communication between the Mazda 2 ecu and the device here: http://www.dnatuning.com/downloads/dna- ... ctions.pdf
may be this will help the advanced developer to help with free flashing tool for Mazda.
I love the possibility to remap my Subaru and wold like to have the same opportunity for my Mazda 2 also
