Fund Raising

I'm sure many of you have seen the "bounty" programs in the Open Source world - people/companies pledging funds for a specific project.
I would like to pledge a minimum of $1,000 to this project, and will go as high as $3,000 to match any other pledges up to $3,000. A few specifics would need to be worked out, but I wanted to get the ball rolling.
My main reqs are that:
1) It works =)
2) The code remains free and open
I'm going to start to spread the word. I'm hoping that some people who have done related work will get interested in the project.
