Start up kit list - Subaru's

Postby Black-Code_tuner » Wed Apr 07, 2010 3:25 am

Hi,
I've been looking at the kit lists and the forums for a little while now, Could anyone confirm that the following kit list will be suitable to start tuning Subaru's alongside the downloadable software??

Tactrix Open Port 2.0
OBD2 Cable for Subaru's (don't seem to see a price for this)
2001-2002 WRX reflash connector
2003-2005 WRX reflash connector
1GB microSD card (and reader)

If there is anything else I need to get set up, please let me know what and where I can get these additional items.

Thanks in Advance

That looks like most of it. You shouldn't need an extra OBD2 cable for Subaru- OpenPort2 plugs straight in to OBD2 port.
I'd recommend getting the Mitsubishi reflash connector in with the OP2 kit too, while you're at it.
WBO2 sensor like LC1 wouldn't go astray either.
All the best.

Hi Radsdau,
thanks for the advise.

My concern was that I couldnt find the cable that connects from the OBD port to a laptop via USB. is this included with in the Openport2 from Tactrix?

I've tried emailing the sales/support line on here several times with no reply at all.

Cheers

I hear your concern. The OpenPort2 itself plugs directly into the OBD2 port, and a USB cable goes from there to the laptop. There is no extra OBD2 cable required.
Check out the pic of it here:

MINT!!
So it's just a standard USB cable that plugs into the back of the Open Port 2 connector?

Nice one!!

Can I assume this is a similar setup for the classic Scoobs as I have a ver 1 STI RA.
