spyware?

Any reason why openecu.org needs to know when an ecuflash program is opened? Just installed 1.42 and when I open it, it tries to connect to openecu.org on port 80. Thats pretty fucking lame if you ask me. So we were lied to about the gpl and now we get spyware NICE!

ECUFlash checks online for updates to itself, that's all. Nothing sinister.
If it concerns you, block that app with your firewall.
