ignition learning

Postby prodrive » Wed Feb 04, 2009 8:28 am

Hi all;

anyone knows that how the fine ignition learning process works? I know there is a fine learning knock correction table in RAM and changes are based on knock determined by the knock sensor. But I am confused while I inspect my logs. Sometimes alhough there is a retard in feedback correction nothing in learnt ignition or vice versa. Sometimes there is a retard in both of them.

How the ecu decides that there should be a fine ignition correction(learnt ignition) and does fine ignition correction based on passed feedback corrections? Also fine ignition correction and learnt igntion are the same?

thanks all
